Lord Jumah Biography

LORD JUMAH BIOGRAPHY

Lord Jumah is a fast-rising Kenyan Bongo Flavour artiste based in Mombasa, Kenya. He is a good composer, songwriter, singer, entertainer, performer and dancer.
He was born on 10th December 1993 in Nangina Mission Hospital, Samia District, Busia County, Western Kenya. He is the fifth borne in their family. He has three brothers and six lovely sisters. His real names are Jumah J. Andrew. Nobody actually knows the meaning of the “J” apart from his beloved mother.
Lord Jumah grew up in different parts of East Africa; notably Busia, Nairobi and Mombasa in Kenya. He also lived a fraction of his childhood years in Tororo, Mbarara and Kampala Uganda. It is believed it is from Mombasa and Kampala he gained interest in Music.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND
Lord Jumah joined Moody Awori Primary School in Samia District in 1998 for his Pre-Primary studies. He was promoted to class one in the same school in the year 2001. He sat for his final primary school exams in 2008.
In 2009, he joined Friends’ School Kamusinga in Bungoma County, Western Kenya for his high school studies. He left the school in 2012 having sat for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Exams.
He joined a music school in Mombasa Kenya in early 2013 where he learnt playing various music instruments such as the guitar, saxophone, keyboard, flute among others. He also obtained a certificate in Computer Studies from the same school towards the end of July 2013.
He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication in Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT
Lord Jumah began singing in church choirs at a tender age of nine. His interest to pursue music professionally had an upsurge while in high school where he composed a record of six hundred poems in English, Kiswahili and the Samia dialect.
He joined the commercial music industry in 2013. His style of music is purely Bongo Flavour. This has seen him earn praises for the mastery of the Swahili language. Lord Jumah confesses that he is in love with a Swahili dialect called Kimtang’ata. Most of his fans are ladies which earned him the title Asali Ya Mabinti.
Lord Jumah has three hits already to his name. Sepetu is his first hit. It is purely a love song in which he confesses his love to Miss Tanzania 2006, Wema Sepetu. Music tarcituns describe the lyrics in this song as simply pin point, or rather spot on. You better have this hit on your playlist despite the fact that it is a dedication to Wema Abraham Sepetu.
His second song goes by the name Tamani Tamani. This is a Bongo Flavour song with a very strong message with hammer-like lyrics. He mentions Zari and Hazel in this one. No one actually knows who the two are and what they mean to him. He tells his spouse to ignore backbiters who are after seeing their affair disintegrate. He is angered by those that do not agree to the fact that his fiancĂ©e is slightly older than him and they go about making it a talk of the town. He calls them Mashoga. Here is a section of the lyrics:
 …. Hello…..Hello Zari….kwanza simu nimenunuaaa……
Hello… Hello Hazel….hao mashoga wanazinguaaa?....
Nahisi wanachonga jingi baya…..
Toka kwa mashoga na wambeya….
Tena yanasemwa mengi, mengi, mengi….
Yalojaa na ubaya…..
Mara wanizidi miaka yaani……
Kwako ni mashaka na utani……
Yaani tu maneno mengi, mengi, mengi, mengi…..
Aaaaaah wabayaaaa…….
Lord Jumah’s third song is called E-sir. Here he pays tribute to the late Issa Mmari. He admits that the Kenyan music industry was deprived of its most promising talent. With E-Sir’s demise the industry has looked a bit shaky. He applauds E-Sir’s song Boomba Train which he fell in love with while still very young. Unfortunately Mr. Mmari never lived long to inspire him. But he swore to fill his boots. Here is the chorus of this hit that will leave you with mixed feelings; sweet but emotional. R.I.P Issa Mmari. Lord Jumah celebrates you.

                                                            Kenya inatamani, ungeishi kisana dunia….dunia!!
Uone jinsi gani, mziki unavyoumia….umia!!
Utaaamu…Utamu wa Boomba Trainy ni kuimbwa nawe….
Utaaamu….Sa’mbona mapema E-Sir, kaka nena tuelewe…
Aaaaah
E-Siiiiiir Oooooh Mmaaari x 4

He works with Producer Kingi Yaa of Liwazo Records, Kiembeni Mombasa. Klimax Music in collaboration with Cromatz Vidz are behind Lord Jumah’s videos. Kenya, East Africa, Africa and generally the music world better get ready for this music sensation. Issah Mmari is back. Not the Tupac style though.
